The receiver on a Cynergy is smaller in the vertical dimension (and thus the barrels are closer together). I believe the Cynergy uses spring-driven direct acting firing pins. For me the difference between the two is feel. I shoot the Cynergy better but I cannot say why. Some say the triggers and lockup system on the 725 are better and the 725 has a slightly lower profile. It seems a little less muzzle heavy than the Cynergy. I think down the road, resale value on the 725 will be better, if that matters.BROWNING CITORI HUNTER GRADE II 16GA 28" BBL. GI#: 102694119. Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon. 2 clays in 1.19 seconds. Browning Citori Hunter. 2 clays in 1.14 seconds. In summary, there are so many things to like about both of these guns but at the end of the day, I can only choose one. I preferred the look and feel of the Silver Pigeon over the Citori hunter but the safety of the Silver Pigeon drives me crazy. Finally got to see how the Cynergy CX and the 686 fit and I honestly like them both. Does anyone have a preference between a Cynergy CX and a Citori CX? I'm currently leaning towards the Cynergy CX mainly due to the price. Browning has a rebate right now so I can get the Cynergy CX for $1400 before tax and DROS compared to $2150.The 725 feels similar. I specifically asked him if he meant that the Cynergy is good for 5,000 shots per year or 5,000 shots complete lifetime. He confirmed it was 5,000 shots lifetime.

I currently prefer the Cynergy. First, I like the mechanical triggers. If the first fails to fire you just pull the trigger again and the second will fire. The Citori has recoil operated triggers. Confirmed it was gone yesterday, went and handled the Citori today. Its a consignment that's been lingering, going to have the clerk call him with a lower offer and hopefully walk out with it. The Cynergy is a lower profile receiver gun like a Beretta and some like that better than the taller Citori.
