Oct 20, 2016 · 2006 400ex valve adjustment went wrong. hi all. I had a 2006 honda trx 400ex that had 115 psi compression before I went to adjust the valves. I could not stick the .004 feeler gauge in both sides so I adjusted both to where the feeler gauge had a little pull. Went to crank and 0 psi! Ive seen it happen before. -2006 450R. 470 12.5:1, ported, 43mm carb, web cam, dasa, buncha other goodies. -2005 400EX 04/05 450R carb, stage 2 hotcam, HMF. -Do it right the first time, and you wont have a problem later. Being cheap or taking the easy way out only makes matters worse later.
